About Us
Highway Educational Centre is a non-profit institution registered in Kenya as a Community-Based Organisation (CBO) and accredited by the Ministry of Education as an Alternative Provider of Basic Education and Training (APBET) in the slums of Kiambiu, Nairobi.
We are a Christ-centred institution dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and gender-based violence in our community through affordable, quality education, food, counselling, and spiritual care.
We focus on holistic compassion and care for vulnerable children — many of whom are orphans or from families unable to provide for them.

Achievements
We are the reigning champions of the Girls’ Football League in our Nairobi East Zone — proudly representing Kiambiu with strength, determination, and purpose.
Proud winners of the Inter-School Debate Championship — these two young leaders from Highway Educational Centre captivated judges with their confidence, clarity, and critical thinking.
We proudly produced the second-highest performing student in the sub-county in the most recent Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).
He was awarded a full scholarship by Equity Bank Kenya and is now studying at a top national school through their Wings to Fly program.
